At Marywood University, Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) program is a grant funded program. General Education Development (GED) classes, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, and Tutoring are provided to students interested in post-secondary education, employment and/or maintaining employment.

What We Do

Marywood University's ABLE program offers free GED, ESL classes and tutoring to the students. The classes are during the day and at night. Classes are held at Marywood University; currently, offsite GED classes are also going on at Carbondale. Tutoring is held at Marywood University and/or public locations. Information, help and support are provided to those students interested in transitioning to post-secondary education and/or employment. Orientation is offered to new students that include intake, assessment and information about the program.
