Lend your muscle! Nancy Jackson Memorial Day of Caring

 

Our annual Day of Caring is one great day of giving back!

On Thursday, September 7th you're invited to roll up your sleeves and make a difference by joining hundreds of volunteers throughout Lackawanna and Wayne Counties. Work hands-on to improve lives and create lasting, positive change in our community with United Way’s Nancy Jackson Memorial Day of Caring! This one-day volunteer endeavor has been an annual tradition of caring since 1994 and has grown to be the premiere volunteer effort in our community with the value of completed projects through the years surpassing the $2.5 million mark.

The volunteer projects include landscaping, painting, cleaning, maintenance, beautification, direct client interaction and scores of other critical tasks to benefit the local organizations making a difference in our community everyday.

Who we are

We are a community based multi-service agency serving senior citizens.

What we do

We provide a wide variety of programs that help keep senior citizens in their own homes

as long as possible.  We provide a day care program that is open 11 hours a day Monday thru

Friday.  We also provide volunteer opportunities.
